Our Mission

At Dante & Dory's, our mission is to enrich the lives of pets and their people by providing premium products, exceptional service, and educational resources in a welcoming community space. We celebrate the special bond between pets and their owners while creating a destination where local pet lovers find expertise, industry professionals grow their skills, and our community connects, learns, and thrives together.

OUR PRODUCTS & SERVICES

Products for Dogs, Cats + Some Small Animals

We'll stock a variety of product lines for every budget and lifestyle. Find an assortment of dry, can, freeze dried, gently cooked and raw food options. From food, treats and chews to toys, collars, supplies and gifts - we'll have the best the pet industry has to offer for your pets health and wellness. We'll open Spring 2025 to the community with a warehouse style assortment, so that we can get open, test products and sell the products you need while construction is in progress. Our full retail store experience should be finished by Summer 2025. 

Self Wash Room & Done For Your Baths

We'll have two individual self-wash rooms. One will even have a floor 'tub' allowing for large breeds to walk right into their baths. No heavy lifting! Plus enjoy our shampoos, clean towels, warm dryers and other tools. If you're looking for assistance or just someone else to give your dog a bath, we hope to have staff on hand to do offer a done-for-you wash service. These should be open by late Spring or early Summer 2025.

Play Space & Events

Come and experience our open play area inside the store between our self wash and retail. This space will be filled with fun all year round and may include some rotating 'exhibits' for your pups to enjoy. The space will also be used for training classes, special events and more. We will not be offering daycare and boarding at this time. This should be open by Summer 2025.

Grooming Salon & Education Space

The final phase of our build out will include a grooming salon in the lower level. This will allow us to create a bather and groom tech program, so we can build up the professional grooming workforce in our area and the surrounding areas. This space will be primarily used for grooming classes, workshops and certifications. Once off the ground, grooming appointments will become available. We do not currently have a date on when this will open. Stay tuned!

Local Delivery & Curb Side Pick Up

We know how convenient curbside + in store pickup are when you're in a hurry. Delivery is also super convenient! We will offer all these services as soon as we have the technology, operations and team in place to ensure the best experience. We do not have a date yet for when this will be available. Stay tuned!

About THE OWNERS

Joey & Candace

Joey & Candace ran multiple, highly successful, pet businesses in Chicago, IL. After selling their last brick & mortar business, they moved to Galesburg, IL. They purchased this property in 2021 to beautify the block, not knowing then they'd be building the next doggy fun zone for our area!  Candace is also a seasoned business coach and influencer in the b2b side of the pet industry.
